Description Position Overview Empathy Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for a full-time, remote role within our community health clinic located in Hialeah, Florida. Work Environment This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of a supportive and friendly team. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends required to accommodate client needs. As part of a growing organization, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow mental health professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and establish appropriate treatment objectives. Develop, implement, and adjust evidence-based treatment plans that align with each client's specific goals and circumstances. Provide individual, couples, and group counseling to a diverse population, utilizing various therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic client care. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring privacy at all stages of treatment. Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic serves a wide range of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders. Many of our clients are navigating complex emotional hardships, and you will support them in their journey towards improved mental health and resilience. Your empathetic approach will help clients feel safe and valued as they explore their thoughts and feelings. Qualifications A valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. A Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited institution. A demonstrated ability to conduct effective individual and group therapy within varied mental health contexts. Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques relevant to mental health treatment. Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with diverse clients and communities, fostering trust and cooperation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential for accurate documentation and client interaction. A commitment to ethical practice and the protection of client confidentiality. Preferred Experience A minimum of 1 year of experience as a mental health counselor, with a solid understanding of therapeutic methodologies. Experience in a community health setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and adherence to documentation protocols. Proficiency in bilingual communication, particularly in Spanish, is a plus given our community demographics. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from
USD 50,000
to 80,000 per year , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
