Family Support Staff Manager Minimum Qualifications:
Associates level degree in a human services or related field of study or 3 years of experience in the I/DD services delivery system. An FSS will provide direct services according to the IFSP, identify consumer/family needs, conduct on-going assessments, attend IFSP reviews as scheduled. Bilingual/Multilingual or the ability to speak in the primary/preferred language of the individual and their family. Possess knowledge of the regional center system. Conduct initial evaluations, assessments and attend IFSP's with the appropriate flexibility needed to meet families' schedules, in their natural environment, with respect for individual cultural differences. Work as a team member, including families as active equal participants. Administer evaluation instruments using sound clinical opinion. Attendance at initial IFSP meetings, periodic 3- or 6-month IFSP reviews and Annual IFSP meetings. Have clear communication with families and with all other team members Submission of all paperwork in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality of all shared verbal and written information gathered according to agency policy. Demonstrates compliance with state-mandated training requirements Attendance at agency monthly staff meetings Perform other duties as assigned/required Qualifications Individual can be a family member but cannot reside in the same home as the individual being served. FSS staff working with the family must communicate in the consumer's preferred language and must be respectful of the consumer and family's culture. FSS staff working directly with the family must have a Associates degree in a human services field of study OR 3-years' experience in coordinating/navigating services. Must have reliable transportation and ability to cover a 15 to 20-mile coverage area. Must pass background check. Must reside in close proximity to the location of the job post (within 5 to 10 miles and able to cover a 15 to 20-mile radius of the city mentioned in the job post) Must be able to accept 15 treatment visits assigned per month. Must have availability during the week during mornings and afternoons. All personnel who will provide direct care or have contact with clients, will be required to have DOJ fingerprint clearance(e.g. Live Scan) and Child Abuse Index clearance for personnel working with children. Proof of clearance will be furnished to the regional center upon request.
