Patient Population / Client Focus Our client population is notably diverse, including underrepresented groups such as ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants seeking support. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in understanding their unique challenges and providing tailored therapeutic interventions. Your work directly contributes to improving the mental health outcomes of populations that often face additional barriers to accessing care. Qualifications A completed Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. A deep understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic interventions, and cultural competence in practice. Experience providing individual and group therapy services using inclusive and culturally responsive approaches. Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations while providing support. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships with patients and their families.
