Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Facilitate intake procedures and coordinate case management activities to connect clients with community resources, home care services, and hospital-based programs. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, and behavioral health specialists—to deliver integrated care for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and support evidence-based practice initiatives. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and crisis management tailored to diverse client needs. Proficiency in child & family counseling, group therapy facilitation, addiction medicine, and mental health counseling techniques. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria. Skilled in patient assessment, behavioral health interventions, and working with individuals from various cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and medical records management while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Ability to perform comprehensive client assessments in therapy settings focusing on substance use disorders and mental health conditions like PTSD. Experience working within hospital environments or community care settings involving home visits or outpatient services. Capable of applying applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles when appropriate for specific client populations.
