Work Environment This role is fully remote, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with clients across Texas. Our telehealth platform allows for secure and effective therapy sessions, offering flexibility and convenience for both clients and therapists. You will be supported by a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, ensuring comprehensive care for all clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses and create effective treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others, ensuring treatments are personalized to each client's unique goals. Provide crisis intervention for clients in acute distress, applying de-escalation techniques and emergency resources as needed. Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards in documentation and reporting. Engage in ongoing collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care delivered to clients, sharing insights and recommendations based on clinical observations. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, facilitating access to treatment options, community resources, and support systems. Stay informed on current best practices in mental health therapy through continued professional development, workshops, and peer collaborations. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse population that includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Your role will be crucial in providing compassionate support and intervention, helping clients navigate and overcome their difficulties while promoting sustainable mental health. Qualifications Must hold a valid Mental Health Counselor license (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) recognized in the state of Texas. A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree in these fields is preferred. Possess strong clinical assessment capabilities, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical environment. Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with clients and collaborate with team members. Capable of self-management and working independently while contributing positively to team dynamics. Dedication to ethical practices and adherence to professional standards in mental health therapy. Preferred Experience Prior work in a telehealth setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience with crisis intervention and working with varied populations will be beneficial. Compensation and Benefits Delmont Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from
USD 80,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The position includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
