Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Social Worker to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, and behavior management techniques to ensure client safety. Provide specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, grief, addiction issues, chronic pain, gender issues, and geriatrics. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, case managers, and research staff to coordinate care and support clients' holistic well-being. Engage in clinical research activities related to mental health interventions and behavioral health outcomes; contribute to data collection efforts for continuous improvement. Offer telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health care across various settings including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker in the respective state; licensure must be current and unrestricted. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or art/dance therapy; experience with ICD coding is preferred. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and electronic health record systems. Experience working in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with children & families; experience in pediatrics or special education is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and patient evaluations thoroughly. Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes; familiarity with
