At Daybreak Health, you'll be part of a movement dedicated to removing barriers to care and empowering young people to thrive emotionally and mentally. We partner with over 60 school districts—including Kaiser Permanente—reaching more than one million students nationwide. Our clinicians enjoy the stability of consistent referrals and a meaningful caseload, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a real difference in students' lives. We're seeking compassionate, licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy to students ages 11-24 throughout California. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while working alongside schools, families, and community partners to help students thrive. Every session you lead has the power to change a young person's trajectory—and that's just the beginning of the impact you'll make.
Please note:
This role is open to therapists who are fully licensed in California only; associate and provisionally licensed therapists are not eligible. 1099 Independent Contractor Our new tiered pay structure rewards clinicians who want to grow their caseload, with no cap on your earnings: 💵 $75-$90 per session, based on weekly caseload volume 📋 Paid intake assessments 🕒 Paid no-shows and late cancellations 🌐 $5 Bilingual session differential available for every session 🎓 $340 paid onboarding training stipend 📚 Free continuing education credits year-round 🛡️ Malpractice insurance included 💳 Biweekly pay — Daybreak handles all billing 📈 Flexible caseload: Start with just 5 sessions per week, see as many clients as you'd like The more clients you see, the more you earn. A clinician seeing 20+ sessions per week can build a meaningful income stream without the administrative burden of running a private practice.
Flexibility & Clinical Support Fully Remote:
Work from anywhere in the U.S.
Flexible Schedule:
Set your hours Monday-Friday, 3-8 PM PST, with optional weekend availability from 9 AM-5
PM PST Administrative Support:
We handle billing, credentialing, and scheduling—so you can focus on care
Supportive Clinical Community:
Peer consultation, collaborative networks, and team discussions
Professional Development:
Continuing education credits and ongoing training Role & Responsibilities Foster strong, supportive relationships with youth to create a safe therapeutic environment Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy to youth ages 11-24 experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers Qualifications Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP credentials in the State of California Passion for youth mental health: Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive, equitable care that honors diverse backgrounds and experiences Experience working with teens and youth ages 11-24 in clinical or school settings Comfortable with telehealth: Experience providing telehealth services Please note: This role is open to fully licensed California clinicians only; associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
