One Step Forward Counseling, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and fully licensed mental health therapist to join our growing private practice on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for a clinician who would like to supplement their current work with a small private-practice caseload while maintaining flexibility and autonomy. The clinician will begin with approximately 5-10 clients per week , with the opportunity to increase their caseload based on availability, client demand, and mutual interest. Responsibilities The therapist will:

Provide individual and/or couples psychotherapy within their areas of competence. Maintain approximately 5-10 client sessions per week. Complete timely and clinically appropriate documentation. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable professional and ethical standards. Maintain an active South Carolina professional license in good standing. Maintain their own professional liability/malpractice insurance. Communicate professionally with clients, referral sources, and practice leadership. Participate in consultation or practice meetings as needed. Maintain appropriate boundaries and ethical standards in all clinical services.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:

Hold a master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or another qualifying mental health discipline. Be fully and independently licensed to practice psychotherapy in South Carolina (such as LPC, LMFT, LISW-CP, or other applicable independent clinical license). Maintain professional liability insurance. Be eligible to provide services independently within the scope of their South Carolina license. Demonstrate strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Be comfortable working independently. Be dependable, ethical, organized, and client-centered. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to clinicians with experience or interest in one or more of the following: Anxiety and depression Trauma and PTSD Adolescents and young adults Relationship concerns Women's mental health Couples and family concerns LGBTQ+ affirming care Clinicians with additional specialties are also encouraged to apply. Caseload & Schedule Approximately 5-15 clients per week to start Opportunity to increase caseload over time Flexible scheduling based on clinician availability and practice needs Ideal for a therapist seeking supplemental private-practice work without committing to a full-time caseload.

Pay:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per week
