As a practice management platform and professional collective, we are seeking clinicians (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) to partner with us as Independent Contract Therapists. Our core business is the delivery of high-tier administrative, operational, branding, marketing, and billing infrastructure designed to support independent mental health professionals, so they can focus entirely on their clients. Founded in 2012 by Dr. Jenny Burkholder, LPC, LMFT, our practice is deeply committed to providing compassionate, ethical treatment and believes that exceptional mental health care begins by respecting and fully supporting the comprehensive needs of the clinicians. We handle the logistics of paneling with insurance companies, scheduling, billing, client collections, insurance claim follow-ups, and practice marketing so you can focus entirely on the clinical work.

Benefit from a steady stream of incoming client inquiries matching your preferred populations. The volume of referrals and active practice waitlist allows therapists to rapidly scale up to their desired caseload goals, often within 6 weeks of onboarding.

Access to beautifully designed, calming office suites for face-to-face sessions.
Premium EHR Access:
Utilize the HIPAA compliant Electronic Health Record system ( Therapy Appointment ) for seamless documentation and optional AI documentation integration.
Professional Camaraderie:
Benefit from a peer-led team culture where independent clinicians can share ideas, access optional peer consultation groups, and celebrate professional milestones. Specialized Focus Due to high platform demand for relationship and marriage counseling, clinicians specializing in this modality can expect approximately half of their routed client inquiries will likely involve providing Couples Therapy. Common clinical presentations include relationship distress, emotional connection, poor communication, affair recovery, attachment dynamics, parenting styles, career stressors, financial conflict, in-law dynamics, sexual intimacy, premarital counseling, and divorce navigation. Clinical Control As an Independent Contractor, you make the decisions on the types of clients you want to see and the types of therapy you choose to offer.

in-office versus virtual therapy from home
Client Systems:
individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy
Areas of Expertise:
The therapist decides the types of issues they want to treat and specialize in (e.g., Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Life Transitions, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder)
Right of Refusal:
The therapist maintains the absolute right to accept or decline any client routed to them without penalty.
Treatment Frequency and Termination:
You decide how often clients need to be seen and when treatment should end.
Clinical Approach:
You retain sole clinical judgment over your treatment modalities and interventions. Professional Autonomy As an Independent Contractor, you retain full operational control over your work:
Schedule Flexibility :
You determine your own weekly availability and manage your own schedule (morning, afternoons, evenings, and weekends available).
Set Your Caseload :
You have full control over your volume with no mandatory minimum or maximum caseload restriction. Clinicians typically choose to see between 15 and 35 clients per week to meet their goals.
Non-Exclusivity :
You maintain the absolute right to operate an independent professional business entity separate from the Company and work in other settings.
No Company-Provided Training :
We do not provide clinical training or instructions regarding client treatment. As an independently licensed clinician, represent that you already possess specialized expertise and advanced clinical competencies.
No Performance Evaluations :
The practice does not conduct professional performance evaluations or administrative reviews of your career or character. Practice oversight is strictly limited to verifying contractual compliance, data security, and adherence to state law and licensing standards. Core Responsibilities Provide high-quality individual, couples, or family therapy (in-office or via telehealth). Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical records. Maintain a current Texas clinical license (Independent LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) and an active Professional Liability Insurance policy. Compensation Compensation is fee-for-service, paid twice monthly based on completed sessions. Invoicing is automated and streamlined electronically upon the completion and finalization of the session note within the EHR system.
Competitive Per-Session Rates:
You will receive a negotiated contract fee for each completed, invoiced therapy session (typically between $56 and $73 per session).
Weekend Incentives:
Enhanced premium rates are available to account for the higher demand of in-person weekend sessions rendered within your chosen availability.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows:
Contractors are compensated a designated flat service fee for client no-shows or late cancellations, provided the occurrence is documented.
Clinical Discretionary Adjustments:
You retain absolute clinical autonomy to directly negotiate reduced private-pay fees with select clients and to offer pro-bono sessions at your discretion.
Ancillary Administrative Income:
Mutually agreed-upon flat rates are available for optional, non-clinical tasks performed outside of standard sessions, such as specialized administrative case management requested by the client (e.g., letter-writing, form completion).
Tax & Expense Notice:
As an independent business entity, you assume full responsibility for your own operational expenses (including your laptop, mobile phone, virtual home therapy space, continuing education, licensing fees, and professional liability insurance) and bear the sole financial risk of profit or loss. All compensation is reported annually via IRS Form 1099. In alignment with independent contractor standards, the practice does not withhold taxes or provide worker's compensation or unemployment insurance. Up to $135,000.00 per year
