Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Therapist/Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to children and adolescents, and work with parents. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client needs, including managing cases involving anxiety, social skills, depression, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and document patient care activities thoroughly using appropriate medical terminology and documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient assessment, and research initiatives to improve clinical outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote counseling services while adhering to best practices in clinical research and data collection. Requirements Master's degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist, or equivalent credentialing applicable in your region. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and family systems populations preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention training. Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations across outpatient clinics or inpatient settings. Pay:
$80.00 - $130.00 per hour
