These are community-based positions, in which you will work with in their homes where you can have a significant impact on improving functioning.

Responsibilities:

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments & clinical screenings in accordance with the standard of practice
• Develop treatment plans that are client & family centered & that address the clinical needs of the client, according to best practices for the diagnostic profile
• Provide clinical interventions effective for the diagnostic needs of clients & clinical standard of care; is alert & responsive to client issues & behaviors
• Conducts risks assessments, recommending appropriate services and interventions; completes safety planning.
• Make appropriate referrals to and coordinates care with other members of multidisciplinary team and community resources.
• Facilitate involuntary/voluntary hospitalizations of consumers at risk while at the ER and in the community.
• Participate in continuing education including required system trainings and evidence-based practices relevant to role.
• Complete clinical documentation adhering to clinical standard of care and agency policies.
• Identify indicators of potential abuse and neglect and makes appropriate reports under legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participates in ongoing clinical consultation and case presentations, serves as subject matter expert on multidisciplinary team, and integrates multidisciplinary feedback into clinical work.
• Participates in clinical supervision and uses supervision to maintain scope of practice and meet ethical obligations.
• Maintains current knowledge of state and federal regulations and billing practices as applicable to role.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, family therapy, or other clinical degree that will lead to RI licensure (LCSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT)
• Must be a qualified Medicaid practitioner as per DCYF regulation
• Experience working with children & youth who have serious emotional disorders or other relevant experience is desirable
• Valid driver's license (RI, CT, or MA) & reliable personal vehicle
• Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or other critical language for region an asset.
