Job Description

Full-Time/Part-Time and Remote Tennessee Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor /
LCSW, LMFT, or LPC Location:
Cordova, TN Purpose Pathways to Wellness, led by Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner John Redmond, is a growing practice with locations in Cordova and Clarksville. As our client base expands, we have an increasing need for licensed counselors to join our team. We offer flexible scheduling to support a healthy work-life balance and currently have multiple openings. In this role, the Licensed Therapist will play a key part in advancing our mission by providing individual, group, and family therapy. The position also involves active participation in interdisciplinary treatment planning and the delivery of client-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Carry a caseload of consistent outpatient clients and IOP program clients. Oversee the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clients. Maintain appropriate documentation as required. Conduct assessments of clients at the time of assessment and re-assessments as required. Conduct mental status examinations. Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on a review of the client's history, signs, and symptoms. Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed. Ability to demonstrate respect for the cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff. Crisis intervention services. Treatment Planning. Complete Additional Sessions Request forms as required. Knowledge of current legal standards of professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues. Participates in quarterly staffing meeting Ensure that Joint Commission documentation requirements are met
Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies Required:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen Solid relationship-building capabilities Conduct mental status examinations, assessments, and re-assessments as required Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on a review of the client's history, signs, and symptoms Ability to demonstrate respect for the cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff Knowledge of current legal standards of professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues Ability to work as an integrated part of a treatment team Ability to manage crises and assess risk. Excellent management of caseload (including groups, individual sessions, and family contact/sessions). Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to establish appropriate boundaries with clients and staff. Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity.
Qualifications:
The following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act. Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment. Must be at least 18 years of age. Independently licensed with the State of Tennessee as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPC Minimum of two years' experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse. Current First Aid/CPR certification. Criminal Background Check Clearance.
