Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling sessions under supervision. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and mental status exams. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Document all patient encounters in the EMR following clinic documentation standards. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT skills, solution-focused, etc.). Support crisis intervention and safety planning under the supervisor's guidance. Care Coordination & Collaboration Work closely with pediatricians, NPs, and care teams to provide integrated behavioral health care. Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings and case conferences. Coordinate referrals to psychiatry, testing centers, community programs, or higher level of care as needed. Communicate effectively with families, guardians, and school personnel when appropriate. Compliance & Licensing Maintain active LPCA license through CE requirements and timely renewals. Participate in weekly or biweekly supervision with assigned LPC-S. Ensure documentation compliance with Medicaid, insurance plans, and clinic standards. Follow professional ethics as outlined by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (or state-specific board). Quality & Administrative Duties Assist with quality improvement workflows and behavioral health screenings (PHQ-9, GAD-7, SCARED, Vanderbilt, etc.). Support PCMH and value-based care initiatives where applicable. Track patient progress outcomes and maintain required reporting metrics. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Psychology, or related field. Current LPCA license (or LPC-Associate license) in the state of [State]. Eligibility for ongoing supervision by an LPC-S. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with EMRs (eCW, Athena, Epic, etc.). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
