About us New Hope Support Services, LLC is a locally owned community support services organization that serves the Western, Central and Southwestern Virginia. New Hope Support Services seeks to provide training and support to enable individuals with significant functional limitations to achieve and maintain community stability and independence. New Hope Support Services seeks to provide training and support to enable individuals with significant functional limitations to achieve and maintain community stability and independence. NHSS is currently hiring for a Full Time Mental Health Provider to provide one-on-one mental health skill-building training and reinforcements for adult individuals who live in the Abingdon and Damascus, Virginia areas . NHSS provides Mental Health Skill-building services to individuals 18 and over. Services are provided with a combination of telephonic and in person sessions based on the needs of the client.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or Associates in Human Services or related field Three experience with mental health services in group setting programs Experienced QMHP Certification from Virginia Board of Counseling or experience working as Qualified Paraprofessional in Mental Health (QPPMH) Must have current CPR and First Aid certification Demonstrated critical thinking skills Must have extremely strong documentation, writing and computer skills along with excellent interpersonal skills. Must have extremely strong intervention and documentation skills with excellent interpersonal, writing and computer skills. Experience working in racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities preferred Experience as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or Qualified Paraprofessional in Mental Health (QPPMH) working with clients who have mental, behavioral, or emotional illness, which results in significant functional impairments in major life activities. Work experience must include implementation of mental health treatment plans, report writing (e.g., progress notes, quarterly reports and evaluation of progress towards goals and objectives), and use of community resources for individuals who have a mental illness diagnosis. Must be able pass background check A good driving record (no negative points) and a vehicle is essential for this position Must have access to a computer and internet with Microsoft Word and Excel Related keywords: mental health, social worker, psychology, mental health therapist, counselor
