Overview We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute psychiatric emergencies effectively and ensure client safety Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical records and progress notes Engage in case management activities, coordinating care with other healthcare providers and community resources for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, maintaining high-quality patient care while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines Provide specialized support in areas such as addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, autism spectrum disorder interventions, and gender issues counseling Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with current certification to practice independently Proven experience working with children, youth, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices including CBT, applied behavior analysis (ABA), trauma-focused therapy, psychopharmacology basics, and crisis management techniques Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for clinical documentation and medical records management Excellent communication skills for client engagement, intake procedures, and interdisciplinary collaboration Experience working in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings is preferred; hospital experience is a plus Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while adhering to HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate mental health services that empower clients on their journey toward wellness.
