Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Licensed or Licensed-Eligible Counselor to provide outpatient behavioral health services to adolescents during after-school and evening hours . This position is ideal for a counselor who enjoys working with teens and wants to help adolescents develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and successfully navigate challenges at home, school, and in their community. This position will provide counseling services and carry a caseload for outpatient counseling while adhering to documentation in a timely basis that is regulated under the license of DBHDS. This position will work with a team of professionals navigating and advocating for the needs of their client. Responsibilities Provide individual outpatient counseling services to adolescents. Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide appropriate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Address concerns including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, family conflict, school stress, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. Establish positive, therapeutic relationships with adolescents and their families. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Coordinate care with parents/guardians, schools, healthcare providers, and other professionals as appropriate. Participate in clinical supervision, consultation, and treatment planning. Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable Virginia regulations and professional ethical standards. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Currently licensed in Virginia or eligible for Virginia licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or other applicable behavioral health credential. Experience working with adolescents is preferred. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport with adolescents and families. Reliable and comfortable providing services during after-school and evening hours . Commitment to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centered care. Schedule This position is designed around the needs of adolescent clients and requires availability during after-school and evening hours , with scheduling options that may include: Weekday afternoons Early evenings
