Portsmouth, VA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20.00 - $24.50 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications HIPAA compliance Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders HIPAA Master's degree Emergency response in crisis intervention Experience working with children Bachelor's degree NCC Working with youth Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate QMHP - Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Clubhouse Group Facilitator to join our dedicated mental health team. In this role, you will lead engaging group therapy sessions and psychosocial rehabilitation activities designed to empower individuals with mental health challenges, including those with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism, PTSD, and other complex needs. Your energetic approach will foster a supportive environment that promotes recovery, social skills development, and community integration. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic techniques. Duties Facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy to support clients' recovery goals. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning protocols. Conduct mental health assessments, patient care evaluations, and intake procedures to determine client needs and appropriate interventions. Engage clients in psychosocial activities that promote social skills, independence, and community participation within the clubhouse setting. Maintain accurate clinical documentation including medical records, progress notes, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), and EMR/EHR entries in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies, crisis management techniques, and behavior management plans. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification or equivalent licensure as required by state regulations. Demonstrated experience working with children, youth, adults with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, or co-occurring disorders. Proficiency in clinical counseling techniques such as psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or grief counseling is a plus. Strong knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems and medical terminology for accurate documentation. Experience with telehealth therapy platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and client communication documentation standards adherence. Ability to handle crisis situations calmly using crisis intervention methods while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
