Position Summary/Responsibilities The Crisis Stabilization & Detox unit provides short-term (3 to 15 day) in-patient stabilization for individuals who have symptoms of mental illness that could, if not addressed, result in a need for hospitalization. This service also offers medically supervised detoxification from alcohol and other drugs. Those needing both detoxification and support for symptoms of mental illness are served. Services are provided in a recovery-oriented environment, and include skills training, psychiatric care, 12-step recovery groups on-site, and discharge planning to assure continuity of care in transitioning to outpatient services. We provide medication assisted treatment, and our therapists are instrumental in this successful treatment for those suffering with substance use. Evening hours allow for you to facilitate innovative programming that complements the more structured daytime scheduling for those in treatment for both substance use and mental health disorders. Responsibilities include:
Facilitate group therapy sessions Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans Provide crisis interventions and support during medically supervised detoxifications Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and discharge planning Document client interactions and progress in accordance with clinical standards Hiring Range The anticipated base salary for the therapist position is $51,630.81 to $55,940.32. The anticipated base salary for the licensed therapist position is $66,627.61 to $70,937.12. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.Requirements Education:
This position requires a Master's degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience which includes attainment of licensure (licensed).Licensure/Certifications:
Required to pursue licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).Background Check:
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.Safe Driving Record:
This position requires transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years. Special Work Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above their head. Use of hands for placing and pulling objects. The employee frequently lifts and or carries up to 10 pounds and pushes or pulls up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (computer and documentation).Specific hearing required by this job includes normal tones. Travel up to 5%.
