At WTCSB our mission is to provide a coordinated system of quality recovery-oriented care in Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse Services to the citizens of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. We are seeking a License Eligible Clinician for our Emergency Services Program !
Hours:
4:00 pm to Midnight Responsibilities & Duties for a
License Eligible Clinician:
Provide direct services in the following areas of concentration: Prescreening assessments for individuals requiring review for psychiatric hospitalization or admission to a crisis stabilization center Assist Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer with individuals requiring review for psychiatric hospitalization and crisis stabilization Face-to-face crisis stabilization assessments and treatment for individuals requiring review for home-based crisis services. Assist in facilitating referrals for individuals in need of medical detox program Crisis consultation to significant others Provide other secondary direct services in these approaches: Case management. Supportive individual counseling Family support counseling and education regarding mental illness Provide crisis intervention services including telephone and/or face to face crisis contact with mentally ill, intellectually disabled, substance abusers and/or dually diagnosed individuals. Respond to consumer's behavioral emergencies and to aggressive behavior using agency-approved techniques. Qualifications and Skills for a
License Eligible Clinician:
Master's Degree in a Human Services field (including Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or equivalent). One (1) year clinical experience in a mental health/substance abuse facility or similar setting. Valid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record at the time of employment and continuously, thereafter.
