Job Description

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care seeks a Clinician II to provide recovery-focused, community-based behavioral health services for adults, youth, and families. In this role, you'll complete diagnostic assessments, develop and manage person-centered treatment plans, and deliver individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices. The Clinician II coordinates care with internal teams and community partners, supports crisis intervention and safety planning, and maintains timely, accurate documentation in the EHR. You'll work in a mission-driven, culturally responsive environment with strong clinical supervision, training, and growth opportunities. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to adults, youth, and families using evidence-based practices Complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments and formulate recovery-oriented treatment plans Deliver community-based services and care coordination with internal teams and external partners Conduct crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning as needed Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and adjust care plans Engage clients using culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches Support clients with housing, substance use, and other social determinants of health Participate in supervision, training, and professional development activities Contribute to a mission-driven, client-centered, and inclusive organizational culture Required Skills Diagnostic assessment and formulation Individual and group counseling Treatment planning and documentation Knowledge of DSM-5 and evidence-based practices Crisis intervention and safety planning Care coordination and case management Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Motivational interviewing Co-occurring disorders treatment Culturally responsive practice
