Job Description
This is a licensed position. Candidates must be licensed with the state of Washington. Pay Rate for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 per hour. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals facing mental health challenges, assisting with their care and treatment plans. This position requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic techniques and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Provide direct support and care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Conduct patient assessments and participate in the development of treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Assist in crisis management and behavior management strategies to ensure patient safety. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, medical records, and HIPAA compliance. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and art therapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Engage in clinical research activities as needed, contributing to data collection and analysis. Support patients dealing with grief, PTSD, addiction, chronic pain, and other mental health issues. Provide education and resources to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions. Requirements Experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with psychotherapy techniques including behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Previous hospital or clinic experience is advantageous; telehealth experience is a plus. Understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and diagnostic evaluations. Candidates who possess a background in social work or have experience in geriatric care or pediatrics will be viewed favorably.
