Hakes Wellness Solutions is looking for a compassionate, motivated Part-Time Counselor to join our growing team in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. We are a wellness-focused organization committed to supporting law enforcement officers, first responders, dispatchers, veterans and their families. We provide clinical services, wellness support, training, education, and consultation designed around the unique experiences and culture of those working in public safety. We are looking for a counselor who wants to be part of that mission and is interested in building meaningful relationships with individuals, families, agencies, and communities. What You'll Do This is a diverse role with the opportunity to contribute across several areas of Hakes Wellness Solutions, including: Provide individual, family, and/or other clinical counseling services. Support clients experiencing trauma, critical incidents, stress, burnout, grief, anxiety, and other challenges common among first responders and public safety professionals. Develop strong, trusting relationships with law enforcement officers, corrections officers, dispatchers,first responders, veterans, and their families. Provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care that recognizes the unique environment and experiences of public safety professionals. Participate in wellness initiatives and support services for law enforcement and first-responder agencies. Assist with or lead educational presentations, trainings, and workshops for agencies and community organizations. Collaborate with Hakes Wellness Solutions staff on agency consultations, wellness programming, and other services. Participate in critical-incident response and trauma-support opportunities as appropriate. Travel periodically to agencies, training locations, or community partners throughout Wisconsin. Represent Hakes Wellness Solutions with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to the communities we serve.

What We're Looking For Required:

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related mental-health field. Current Wisconsin clinical licensure appropriate to the position. Ability to provide independent clinical services within the scope of your Wisconsin license. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Genuine interest in working with law enforcement, first responders, veterans, and their families. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team. Willingness and ability to travel periodically for training, presentations, agency support, and other HWS services.

Preferred:

Experience working with law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, military/veteran populations, or other first-responder communities. Understanding of first-responder culture and the unique barriers that can impact help-seeking. Training or experience in EMDR or another evidence-based trauma treatment modality. Interest in pursuing EMDR training if not already trained. Experience providing presentations, workshops, or professional training. Experience working with trauma, critical incidents, PTSD, grief, or occupational stress. Experience with peer support, agency wellness programs, or organizational consultation.
