Job Description

Behavioral Health Clinician Bring your clinical skills. Bring your humanity. Show up when it matters. As a Behavioral Health Clinician I or II, you'll build trust and provide compassionate, skilled care as clients navigate mental health challenges, substance use, trauma, housing instability, and crisis. You'll help clients take the next step toward greater stability and well-being. Stay grounded when things get complicated. Be the clinician who helps someone move forward. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide whole-person care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve. We're hiring at either level based on your credentials, experience, and level of clinical independence: Behavioral Health Clinician I — Associate Level Behavioral Health Clinician II — Licensed Level What Success Looks Like This is a clinical role within a fast-paced, integrated healthcare environment. Successful clinicians are compassionate, clinically skilled professionals who thrive in collaborative settings and are comfortable working with individuals experiencing moderate to complex behavioral health needs. Success in this role means using sound clinical judgment to provide assessments, evidence-based therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination while building trusting therapeutic relationships. The Role Provide individual and group therapy psychotherapy services to clients with moderate to complex behavioral health needs within an integrated care setting. Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches. Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services, including coordination to higher levels of care when clinically indicated. Collaborate with medical providers, case managers, detox program staff, and multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated care. Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation that supports medical necessity, continuity of care, and regulatory compliance. Participate in case consultation, team meetings, care coordination, and other activities that support effective client care. Experience providing behavioral health services through an internship, practicum, or professional setting is preferred. Current and active registration with California BBS or authorization appropriate to the applicable discipline; ASW, AMFT, APCC, or equivalent. CPR certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe upon hire. Level II Requires Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of one year of post-licensure clinical experience providing behavioral health services to at-risk groups. Current and active California licensure registered with California BBS; LSCW, LMFT,LPCC, or equivalent. CPR certification, or ability to obtain within the required timeframe upon hire. Compensation and Benefits Pay for this position is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
The anticipated starting pay range:
Behavioral Health Clinician I:
$30.27 to $34.81 per hour
Behavioral Health Clinician II:

The regular work schedule includes Monday-Friday in the Behavioral Health Clinic. The role includes crisis response, and clinicians may occasionally need to respond to urgent clinical situations to support continuity of care.
