This role will provide client-centered and client-driven services in client homes (group setting) that will focus on community support in apartment, conflict resolution, symptom management, group services/outings, and more. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping individuals in need. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to almost 800 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Illinois and Missouri. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A. This rewarding opportunity provides direct care on Friday from 3:00 to 11:30 p.m., and/or Saturdays from 3:00 to 11:30 p.m. at our housing site in Pontoon Beach, IL. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $19.00 - $24.31 per hour.

Provide client-centered services:

assessment, therapy, community support, and medication management. Use evidence-based practices for skill development and facilitate individual, roommate, family, and group therapy. Connect clients with additional clinical resources. Assume a leadership role with minimal guidance and oversight.

Promote the recovery model:

trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness. Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) in good standing with the State of Illinois; OR have a Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field; OR have a Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field and be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC); OR have a Master's degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field. Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance and be insurable (when applicable). Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR).
