Albany County Crime Victims and Sexual Violence Center SALARY:
$59,304 WORKLOCATION & HOURS
112 State St. Albany, NY 12207, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm; offsite clinical location within Albany County (location confidential). Potential for hybrid-remote schedule. Daytime, overnight, weekend, and holiday hotline coverage is required for this position.BENEFITS

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled clinician who is passionate about supporting crime victims and providing trauma-informed care to join our team. This position primarily serves adults who have experi- enced sexual assault, domestic violence, and other forms of interpersonal violence, providing individualized therapeutic support to help survivors heal, regain a sense of safety, and move forward. The ideal candidate will have experience providing therapy to adults, strong clinical assessment and interviewing skills, and knowledge of trauma-informed practices. Experience working with survivors of trauma, interper- sonal violence, or other complex life experiences is highly valued. Compassion, tact, emotional maturity, sound judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. This position includes 24-hour crisis hotline coverage and may require evening and weekend meetings, events, and community activities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide trauma-informed individual, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and treatment planning.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medical and legal advocacy and connect victims with appropriate community resources and support services.
- Participate in 24-hour crisis hotline coverage, including responding to crisis calls and accompanying victims to medical and law enforcement facilities when needed.
- Collaborate with the clinical team and provide guidance and supervision to interns and volunteers.
- Provide education and outreach on interpersonal violence, trauma, prevention, and bystander intervention.
- Maintain timely and accurate case records and documentation.
- Represent the agency at community meetings, events, and other outreach activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to trauma-informed care and services for survivors.
- Train and support interns and volunteers in agency practices, trauma-informed care, and working with survivors of interpersonal violence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EITHER:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Master's Degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work or a closely related field andEITHER:
A.Six (6) months of clinical experience in conducting individual, group, or family therapy; OR, B.Successful completion of a Master's level internship with a rape crisis center or victim assistance program.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Eligibility for and possession of a valid New York State driver's license at time of appointment; Must be licensed by NY State as either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within one (1) year of employment.
