In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver compassionate patient care across various clinical settings. Your expertise will support individuals with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders, ensuring they receive the highest quality care in a safe and supportive environment. Duties Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and patient history reviews. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and patient needs. Provide mental health counseling and addiction counseling to individuals across diverse populations, including children and adults. Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients with community resources to support ongoing recovery and wellness. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with medical teams in hospital settings such as Level I Trauma Centers, Level II trauma centers, PICUs (Pediatric Intensive Care Units), and emergency medicine units. Prioritize tasks effectively to manage inpatient, outpatient, post-acute care, and clinic-based caseloads while maintaining high-quality patient service. Participate in utilization management and case management activities to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization. Engage with families and caregivers to facilitate understanding of treatment plans and support systems. Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and community resources relevant to behavioral health care. Requirements Proven hospital experience with a strong background in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers. Experience working within Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in behavioral health, mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or social work. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management). Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR certification required. Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or those from diverse cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, post-acute care settings, including managed care environments. Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical case management, discharge planning, and utilization management. Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health conditions or substance use disorders.
