Pediatrics CC Pay Rate Type Salary Pay Grade Health-29 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and coordination of care for children with developmental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental challenges and their families.

Location:

Charleston Schedule:

Monday - Friday Day shifts, 40 hours a week

Required Education:

Master's or Doctorate degree in social work from an accredited program.

Required Experience:

At least 4 years of related work experience.

Required Licensure:

Current South Carolina LISW license.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assessment:

Conduct evaluations of patients and families to identify needs, barriers, and strengths related to developmental, behavioral, and emotional health.

Treatment:

Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including counseling, psychoeducation, behavioral support, and brief therapeutic services for children and families.

Coordination of Care:

Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, therapists, educators, and external providers to ensure integrated, family-centered care. Help families navigate systems such as schools, Medicaid, and disability services. Advocate for patients and families by facilitating referrals to community resources and support services. Document services and communications in accordance with MUSC policies, licensing standards, and HIPAA regulations. Participate in team conferences, diagnostic evaluations, and care planning sessions. Support program development and outreach initiatives within the community.

Additional Job Description Physical Requirements:

Continuous requirements are to work indoors; possess good finger dexterity; maintain tactile sensory functions; maintain 20/40 vision corrected in one eye or with both eyes; maintain good peripheral vision capabilities; and maintain hearing acuity with correction. Frequent requirements are to perform job functions while standing/upright, sitting, and walking/mobile; fully use both hands and arms; perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders; perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements; reach in all directions; see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance; match or discriminate between colors; determine distance and relationship between objects including depth perception; and hear and/or understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet. Infrequent requirements are to kneel and squat to perform job functions; perform pinching operations; lift and carry 15 lbs. unassisted; lift objects up to 15 lbs. from floor level to a height of 36 inches unassisted; and push or pull objects up to 15 lbs. unassisted.
