Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. vision insurance, paid time off United States, Virginia, Charlottesville 1215 Lee Street (Show on map) Aug 29, 2026 The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join the interdisciplinary team in the Perinatal Mood Clinic. The
LCSW/LPC
embedded in the outpatient clinic will provide specialized, evidence-based psychotherapy services to support mothers during pregnancy and the postpartum period who are experiencing emotional or mental health challenges. Working with the interdisciplinary team, thisLCSW/LPC
will provide assessments and evaluations, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, and care coordination to address the needs of this population. Full-time virtual position with ambulatory therapy visitsShift:

- At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience providing individual therapy services
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Demonstrated comfort with evidence-based interventions and skills Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. 1) Administration
- Documents patient care in accordance with UVA University Medical Center policies and regulatory requirements 2) Professional
- Participates in treatment planning, care coordination, and advocates for patient preferences within the interdisciplinary team 3) Clinical
- Completes biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis, and development of culturally competent, individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provides specialized mental health support to address the presenting concerns of this patient population
- Addresses mental health conditions and assists with navigating systems 4) Leadership
- Assists with treatment program development, as needed
