$2.50/hr for evening, weekend, and overnight hours

  • Thursday, 11:30 pm to 8 am The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking a License Eligible Therapist to join the team at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center.
The center provides urgent behavioral health services for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, including therapy, medication management, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention in a supportive, therapeutic environment. This position provides therapeutic services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center.. The License Eligible Therapist works as part of a multidisciplinary team providing rapid assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, psychiatric and medical monitoring, stabilization, and discharge planning. The BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center uses a brief-stay approach focused on reducing acute symptoms and helping individuals avoid hospitalization when appropriate.
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling One (1) year of clinical experience including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management functions. Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professions (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.
