Job Description

Compass is looking for professionals pursuing Virginia State Licensure as an LCSW or an LPC. Ideal candidates have an interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental challenges and have a desire to empower them and their families. Compass is a community-focused agency providing home- and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and family support to parents and their children with developmental challenges throughout Virginia. As a Resident in Social Work or Counseling in our program, you will have the opportunity to: 1. Conduct comprehensive, diagnostic, behavioral health assessments for those seeking community-based services in collaboration with the supervising LMHP. 2. Provide outpatient counseling services to children and their families affected by a variety of neurodevelopmental challenges. 3. Provide home- and clinic-based ABA services, family support, parent training, and care coordination for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental challenges. Compass is an enriching and supportive environment, with a focus on in-depth training and supervision. Residents in Social Work or Counseling will: Participate in trainings and clinical supervision that focus on a holistic approach integrating behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and other psychotherapeutic strategies. Utilize videotaping as a way to provide in-depth supervision and training that fosters continued growth. Collaborate with a variety of licensed professionals and work on a multidisciplinary team.
Education, Experience & Other Requirements:
Education:
Must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling, working towards licensure.
Driver's License:
Active driver's license and at least 1 year of licensed driving experience Why choose
