This includes conducting assessments, creating behavior plans, developing crisis strategies, and supporting staff in providing person-centered behavioral interventions. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial behavioral evaluations & supports for each resident Develop individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP) including behavioral goals, activity plans, and measurable benchmarks. Create Crisis Plans with 24/7 response strategies, pre-crisis interventions, and clear staff response steps. Participate in monthly interdisciplinary Behavior Support Team meetings to review resident progress, medications, and support strategies. Provide staff consultation and training on interventions, behavior support strategies, and crisis response expectations. Provide and lead in interventions to residents , including de-escalation during crisis or instability & spending time assisting residents to meet needs and assisting staff to do the same. Documentation including time spent with residents, their behaviors & interventions.
Requirements One of the following:
1) Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LICSWA), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA); or 2) Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, behavioral sciences, or a related field with at least two (2) years of experience providing direct behavioral health services. Ideally prior experience or training in mental/behavioral health. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance Ability to work effectively with people in a respectful and empathetic manner Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals, residents, and families Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality Prior experience in patient care, behavioral health, or diagnostic evaluation is a plus Must be adaptable, organized, and committed to providing high-quality support within a clinical setting
