Short-Term Nanny - Oakland, CA (94611) - $500/day + (Mileage reimbursement) The Cradle Company Oakland, CA Job Details Full-time Up to $500 a day 8 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Qualifications CPR Certification Live-in employment experience First Aid Certification Driving Meal preparation First aid and CPR Full Job Description A loving family in Oakland, CA (94611) is seeking a responsible and flexible Nanny to provide short-term, live-in care for their 13 year old and 15 year old, while the parents are away.
Schedule:
Live-in care from September 17th - September 20th.
Compensation:
$500/day + (Mileage reimbursement) Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Morning Routine (Thurs/Fri, 7:00-8:30am): Wake the children, prepare breakfast, help them get ready, and ensure they leave for school by 8:00am; school is approximately 8 minutes from home. School-Day Coverage (Thurs/Fri, 8:30am-3:00pm): Open time while the children are at school, with no regular childcare responsibilities during these hours. Afternoon Care (Thurs/Fri): Pick up the children from school at 4:00pm Thursday and 3:30pm Friday, prepare their after-school smoothie, and help them transition into homework time.
Evening Routine:
Prepare or order dinner, encourage healthy meals and appropriate snacking, oversee homework completion, and have the children clean up their dishes while the nanny resets the kitchen and runs the dishwasher.
Technology & Bedtime:
Allow designated play-device time only after homework is complete, collect devices when time is up, and ensure the children complete their bedtime routine and are in bed by the family's designated times.
Saturday Care:
Provide full-day and overnight care, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, homework, violin and other lessons, age-appropriate supervision, and bedtime; a midday break may be provided for the caregiver.
Sunday Care:
Provide daytime and evening supervision, following the children's established routines for meals, homework, activities, technology, and bedtime.
Overnight Support:
Remain as the responsible adult in the home overnight and address any needs that may arise, although no overnight duties are generally expected. Note from

Screening:
Clean driving record, current CPR/First Aid, Trustline registration (preference), and a safe, reliable vehicle required.
Daily Check-Ins:
Brief evening update to the family on how the day went and how things are going. 15-year-old: Teenage boy with moderate ADHD; does not require medication but may need extra patience and clear, consistent instructions. He has severe nut and sesame allergies but is fully independent in managing them and carries multiple EpiPens.
Private Space:
Caregiver will have a private bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor of the home. Must be vaccinated (TDAP)
