Job Description

Part-Time Mother's Helper Need Schedule:
Variable
  • Approximately 8-10 mornings a month 6:00 AM
  • 9:00 AM, the same days evenings 5pm-9pm.
We would discuss the schedule 3+ months in advanced Additional hours may be available on weekends and school holidays. Further hours may be available on discussion and willingness to do additional household tasks.
Pay:
$22
  • 30/ hour, based on experience We are a warm, multigenerational family in the Riverside (Woodcrest) area seeking a reliable and nurturing part-time household assistant/mother's helper to support our morning routine.
You will be working primarily alongside my mother (a retired teacher) to help care for my two children, ages 6 and 8, while I am at work. Childcare Responsibilities (Primary Focus): Assist the children with their morning routine (getting dressed, brushing teeth, etc.) Supervise and engage the younger child (6) in quiet activities when she wakes up early Help prepare and serve a simple breakfast (oatmeal, cereal) Additional playing with the children in the mornings during the summer and weekends when there is less of a rush
  • board games, art activities, supervising play outside.
Important:
Childcare always takes priority. Household tasks are only expected when the children are not present or do not need attention (e.g., still asleep or already at school). Household Tasks (As Time Allows): Light tidying (e.g., toys, kitchen after breakfast) Washing breakfast dishes Folding laundry
What We're Looking For:
Patient, dependable, and calm, with a "go-with-the-flow" attitude Trauma-informed caregiver who understands how to provide safe, supportive care to children with past trauma Experience working with neurodivergent children (e.g., ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivities, etc.) Experience working with elementary age children Must pass a background check Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current insurance required

Pay:
$22
  • 30/ hour based on experience
