The successful candidate will provide attentive supervision and developmentally appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and preschool children during church services and special events. Your enthusiasm and compassion will help foster a positive early childhood experience thThis is a paid position, working 9:30-11:30 AM every Sunday morning and occasional special events (as schedule allows). Responsibilities Supervise children ages newborn to 4 in the nursery area, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times through attentive child supervision. Maintain a clean, organized nursery environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including sanitation of toys and surfaces. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's needs and behaviors. Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly and appropriately. Collaborate with church staff to coordinate schedules for nursery coverage during services and special events while maintaining compliance with childcare policies. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained upon hiring. Previous babysitting or nanny experience with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers will support success in this role. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety is essential for compliance and responsible caregiving. Must be be able to pass background check
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
