Job Description
We're looking for warm, reliable, and proactive individuals to support busy families in their homes. This is not a traditional babysitting position. Our Mother's Helpers provide a combination of childcare, household support, and home organization that helps families feel more calm, organized, and supported. The ideal candidate enjoys creating order, taking initiative, and stepping in wherever help is needed. Every family is different, and every day looks a little different—which is what makes this role so rewarding. What You'll Do Fold and put away laundry Organize children's rooms, play spaces, and common areas Tidy kitchens and reset family spaces Assist with light meal prep and lunch preparation Help families stay on top of household routines and tasks Support school pickups, activities, and daily transitions Engage children in age-appropriate activities Provide occasional childcare while parents work, rest, or manage household responsibilities Look for opportunities to help without needing constant direction What Makes Someone Successful in This Role You might be a great fit if you: Naturally notice what needs to be done and jump in Enjoy organizing closets, toys, pantries, and family spaces Like creating systems that help homes run more smoothly Are comfortable balancing childcare with household responsibilities Take pride in leaving a home more organized than you found it Are dependable, punctual, and professional Communicate clearly with families Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following: Childcare Nannying Mother's Helper work Household management Professional organizing Housekeeping Early childhood education Teaching or camp counseling Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Comfortable occasionally driving children Ability to travel to family homes Availability for consistent weekly hours Authorized to work in the United States Ability to lift and carry laundry baskets, toys, and household items Compensation & Benefits $24-$26/hour depending on experience Flexible scheduling Meaningful work supporting local families Opportunity for recurring placements with families
