THE FAMILY

| A kind, funny, and busy family of four is seeking a warm, engaging, and dependable Part-Time Nanny to care for their two young children, ages 4 and 2. The family currently lives in Mandeville Canyon and also has a home in Santa Monica, which they plan to make their primary residence eventually. Candidates should be comfortable commuting to both locations as the family's needs evolve. Both children attend school during the day, with their daughter finishing at 12:30 PM and their son at 3:30 PM. The family is looking for someone who can be a consistent, trusted presence in their children's lives, someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with young children, understands their individual personalities, and brings a sense of fun and creativity to their afternoons together. Dad works outside of the home, while Mom primarily works from home, with Wednesdays spent in the office. The family is very mindful of creating healthy boundaries when Mom is working from home. Once the children are home, she typically works elsewhere so the nanny can take the lead without the distraction of having a parent nearby. Their home is busy and active but also warm and easygoing. They value open communication, consistency, humor, and a caregiver who can comfortably become part of the rhythm of family life. THE SON | 4 years old. Turning five in January, he is an incredibly sweet, bright, curious, and highly sensitive little boy with a fantastic sense of humor. He loves art, building things, puzzles, and especially enjoys when his caregiver introduces him to new activities and experiences. He feels things deeply and thrives with caregivers who take the time to genuinely connect with him. He can sometimes have difficulty with transitions and experiences some separation anxiety when saying goodbye to Mom. Once he feels comfortable with someone and becomes engaged in an activity, however, he is typically able to move through those moments quickly. Connection is particularly important for him. When he trusts and feels secure with his caregiver, transitions become significantly easier. He will do best with a nanny who is patient, emotionally attuned, playful, and confident-someone who can acknowledge big feelings while also helping him move forward. He is a lot of fun to be around and loves having an adult who is genuinely excited to explore, create, build, and play alongside him.

THE DAUGHTER

Turning three in February, she is sweet, silly, fearless, independent, and wonderfully easygoing.

She loves all things girly:

dolls, bracelets, dressing up, and imaginative play, but is just as happy being active outside with her big brother. She loves heading to the park, riding her scooter, and joining in on whatever adventure is happening that day. Having an older brother who occasionally likes to take charge has helped her develop a very go-with-the-flow personality. She is open-minded, adaptable, affectionate, and incredibly fun to be around. Together, the children enjoy riding their scooters at the park, visiting playgrounds and the Cayton Children's Museum, doing arts and crafts, building things, and helping in the kitchen with simple cooking and baking projects.

THE HOME + PARENTING PHILOSOPHY

| The parents take a loving but firm approach to parenting. They make space for big feelings while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries around the things that matter most. They are flexible about smaller details, such as mealtimes and bath routines, but prioritize consistency with household rules and bedtime. Screen time is limited and intentional rather than a default form of entertainment. The family encourages active play, creativity, outings, and hands-on activities, with an occasional show to help the children decompress. Open communication is important, and the parents will clearly communicate their expectations and boundaries. They would also love a nanny who sends occasional text updates and photos of the children throughout the day.

THE JOB DETAILS

| The nanny will be responsible for school pickups, providing attentive and engaging care, planning creative activities and outings, and transporting the children to after-school activities and appointments. Responsibilities will also include preparing snacks and meals, occasional simple family meal preparation, assisting with bath and evening routines, children's laundry, and keeping children's spaces, play areas, and mealtime areas clean and organized. During downtime, the nanny may help with occasional grocery runs or family-related errands. The family would also appreciate regular text updates and photos throughout the day, as well as flexibility to provide occasional overnight care when both parents travel for work. The nanny will use their own vehicle for on-the-job driving. The family will provide car seats and reimburse mileage at the applicable rate.

T HE IDEAL CANDIDATE

| The ideal candidate is warm, playful, emotionally intuitive, and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children. A strong connection with both children is essential, along with the patience and confidence to navigate big feelings, transitions, and consistent boundaries. They should be energetic, creative, and flexible, equally happy planning an afternoon adventure, managing school pickups and activities, or using downtime to help with children's laundry, errands, and resetting the home. Being clean, tidy, and organized is very important to this family. While this is not a housekeeping position, they want someone who naturally cleans up throughout the day and keeps the children's spaces and belongings organized. Above all, they value personality, judgment, reliability, and genuine connection. They hope to find a proactive, communicative nanny seeking a long-term commitment, ideally 2-5 years. Cooking simple family meals would be a wonderful bonus.

| Professional childcare experience with toddler and preschool-aged children, ideally 2 to 3 years. Professional nannying experience Excellent, verifiable professional references A warm, patient, engaging, and emotionally intuitive approach to childcare Confident navigating big feelings, transitions, and separation anxiety Comfortable maintaining clear and consistent boundaries Reliable, punctual, and communicative Comfortable driving children throughout Los Angeles. Comfortable assisting with child-related household tasks and occasional family errands Current MMR and COVID vaccinations Current Pediatric & Adult CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to renew prior to starting Ability to successfully complete all required background and driving record screenings TrustLine registered or willing to register Legally authorized to work in the United States

THE SCHEDULE

| The position is approximately 30 guaranteed hours per week, ideally Monday through Friday from 12 PM-6 PM. The family will occasionally need overnight care when both parents travel for work. Weekend care is not required. Traveling with the family is unlikely, though there may be occasional opportunities.

THE COMPENSATION

| $35-$40/hour. Guaranteed hours. Sick and vacation time. Plus 6 major federal holidays.
