Job Description

Overview A hands-on mother is seeking an experienced Part-Time Mother's Helper/Nanny to provide an extra set of hands for her busy household. The family has three children, ages 8, 6, and 2, with a fourth baby due in November. This is a great opportunity for a nanny who enjoys working alongside parents. The family is looking for someone who can step in wherever needed, whether that means helping with the children, preparing food, doing laundry, running an errand, or keeping the day moving smoothly. A Mary Poppins-type candidate who naturally sees what needs to be done will thrive in this role.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Approximately 4 hours per day (can be flexible for 5, totaling to 15 hrs a week) Travel with the family will be required periodically, particularly as the family travels next spring with a new baby Responsibilities Providing an extra set of hands for mom throughout the day Helping care for the two-year-old while mom is home Assisting with the older children's routines, activities, and homework Helping with the children during extracurricular activities Supporting the family when mom has appointments or other commitments Assisting with the transition after the new baby arrives, including helping with the older children while mom cares for the infant Preparing simple meals and snacks for the family Food preparation and kitchen support Children's laundry and general household laundry Grocery shopping and occasional household errands Light tidying and organization related to the children and family Traveling with the family as needed to provide additional childcare support Qualifications Warm, nurturing, and engaging personality Proactive and naturally helpful Comfortable working alongside a very hands-on mother Someone who understands that the role is to support the family rather than take over Requirements Comfortable caring for children of different ages Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and is happy to jump in A polished, career nanny who takes pride in her work Warm, nurturing, and engaging personality Proactive and naturally helpful Salary and Benefits $40-$45/hour DOE
