Job Description

Nanny - Washington, DC A family in Washington, DC 20001 is seeking a warm, dependable, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their three young children, ages ~6 months, ~2.5 years old, and ~4 years old. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys working with young children while helping keep the household running smoothly during the afternoon and early evening.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-7:00
PM Start Date:
September (possibility of earlier or later start date. Timing is somewhat flexible late August-early November).
Family Specifications:
Smoke-free home Pet-free home
Responsibilities:
Arrive at 3:00 PM to assist with children's laundry, toy organization, and light tidying Walk to pick up the children from school/daycare (schools are within a 5-10 minute walk) Provide attentive care for all three children Prepare light meals and snacks Engage the children in age-appropriate play and activities Overlap with parents at the end of the shift to help with the evening transition
Requirements:
Experience caring for infants and young children CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified Strong English communication skills (Spanish or French speakers are also welcomed) Dependable, nurturing, and organized Comfortable managing the routines of multiple young children
Compensation:
$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience All candidates will be subject to a background check. This position requires proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
