• 18-Month-Old Child Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and responsible Montessori Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive care for one 18-month-old child.

10:00am-4:30pm The ideal candidate is warm, patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood development. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with toddlers and creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment using Montessori-inspired principles. Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving, and consistent care for an 18-month-old child. Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement Montessori-inspired and age-appropriate activities that encourage independence, exploration, language development, sensory learning, and fine and gross motor skills. Engage the child through reading, music, creative play, educational games, and outdoor activities when appropriate. Assist with daily routines including meals, snacks, diaper changes, nap time, hygiene, and transitions throughout the day. Follow the family's established routines, parenting preferences, household rules, and instructions. Observe the child's behavior, development, interests, and needs and communicate relevant updates to the parents. Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment. Clean up after meals, activities, and playtime and keep the child's areas tidy. Encourage positive behavior, independence, and age-appropriate social and emotional development. Respond calmly and appropriately to minor injuries, emergencies, or health concerns. Work collaboratively with the parents to maintain consistency in the child's routines and developmental goals. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience working with toddlers in a babysitting, nanny, daycare, preschool, Montessori, or childcare setting is strongly preferred. Experience specifically caring for children between approximately 12 months and 3 years old is highly valued. Understanding of toddler routines, developmental milestones, feeding, diapering, naps, and age-appropriate activities. Familiarity with Montessori philosophy or Montessori-inspired activities is a plus. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Background check may be required. Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor. Must be punctual, responsible, dependable, organized, and attentive. Must be comfortable following family instructions and established routines. Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment. Must genuinely enjoy working with young children and supporting their development. We are looking for someone who will become a dependable and positive presence in the child's daily routine while providing loving, professional, and developmentally appropriate care.
