Job Description
Overview Sanibel Island, FL (Local or Commuting Candidates Only) - The Nanny League is assisting a warm family relocating to Sanibel Island in the next 6-8 weeks with their search for a part-time nanny to support their two young children, a daughter turning 5 in November and a son turning 2 in December. Mom works from home, and dad is a first responder, and the family is looking for an experienced candidate to join their household on a consistent, guaranteed schedule. This role guarantees 20 hours per week, with 2 days confirmed at 8:00am to 5:00pm and a third day offered as flexible, TBD. The family is open to considering a candidate seeking a more consistent, full schedule if the right fit comes along. Given Dad's schedule as a first responder, flexibility and reliability are especially valued. Mom works from home in a private office and prefers the nanny to be present in the home throughout the day, though driving is not required at this time. Daily responsibilities include loading kids' dishes throughout the day, picking up after the children, cleaning up after meals, and putting away toys at the end of each day. A regular housekeeper handles deeper cleaning. The daughter participates in a homeschool program during the son's nap times, and the family would love a candidate who can meaningfully engage with her and support that program, so prior teaching or nanny experience is strongly preferred. There is a pool at the home, so strong pool safety awareness and vigilant supervision are essential. Two friendly dogs are in the home, a Newfypoo and a Goldendoodle, both easygoing and comfortable around children. Comfort with large, but sweet, dogs is important. They do not require care. The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, and brings a mature, experienced presence to the role. The family is looking for someone who takes genuine initiative with the children's day-to-day engagement and routines. Start date is the last week of September, ideally September 26th or 28th, though the family is open to the right candidate joining as soon as possible. This is a live-out role, and relocation assistance is not offered at this time. Pay is $30/hr gross via payroll with a guarantee of 20 hours/week. Qualifications
