Schedule Monday-Wednesday:
4:30 PM-8:30
PM Thursday-Friday:
4:30 PM-10:30 PM Occasional nights and weekends Occasional domestic/international family travel Occasional coverage during family/business events Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional Professional Family Nanny for an elementary-aged child in Johns Creek. This is not a traditional babysitting position. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted extension of the family—experienced, active, attentive, educationally focused, safety-conscious, discreet, and able to make sound decisions independently. The strongest candidates will have experience as a professional nanny combined with teaching, classroom, preschool, tutoring, youth-development, or other educational experience . Responsibilities Provide attentive, hands-on supervision and care Safely transport the child to activities and local destinations Assist with homework, reading, and academic development Create or follow structured learning and enrichment activities Encourage positive social, emotional, and behavioral development Participate in outdoor play, swimming, sports, games, and other active activities Maintain established routines, boundaries, and household expectations Communicate proactively with parents Follow family safety procedures and household protocols Travel with the family when needed Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion Required Qualifications Professional nanny, childcare, teaching, tutoring, preschool, classroom, or youth-development experience Experience working with elementary-aged children Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable independently transporting a child Reliable transportation to and from the family's home Strong swimmer and comfortable actively supervising a child at the pool Physically able and willing to run, play, swim, and stay active Strong judgment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills Consistent availability for the schedule listed above Flexibility for occasional nights and weekends Valid passport or ability to obtain one promptly Willing and able to travel with the family Strong professional references Minimal personal phone use while supervising the child Comfortable supporting the values and routines of a Christian household Mature, reliable, trustworthy, organized, and discreet Strongly Preferred Current or former teacher Professional nanny experience Elementary education, Early Childhood Education, Montessori, Psychology, child development, or related background Tutoring or curriculum-development experience CPR and First Aid certification Experience with high-profile, executive, or privacy-sensitive families Previous family travel experience Strong professional nanny or childcare references/reviews What Matters Most Safety, attention, and judgment are extremely important to this family. We need someone who naturally thinks ahead, recognizes potential safety concerns, remains calm in unexpected situations, and can determine the safest course of action without needing constant instruction. This child is active and enjoys swimming and outdoor activities. The nanny should genuinely enjoy being engaged—not supervising primarily from a phone or sitting on the sidelines. We also want someone who can support the child's academic, social, emotional, and physical development while maintaining a warm, structured environment. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
