at Dempsey Staffing in Riverside, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Summary Dempsey Staffing Firm is hiring flexible Childcare Support Staff/Floaters to provide additional classroom support wherever needed throughout Child Development Laboratory Centers. Floaters help maintain staffing ratios, assist with daily classroom operations, and support multiple classrooms during staff absences. Essential Responsibilities Float between classrooms as assigned. Supervise children while maintaining required staff-to-child ratios. Assist teachers with classroom activities. Help during arrival, dismissal, meals, naps, and outdoor play. Prepare classroom materials. Support children's learning through positive interactions. Assist with classroom organization and sanitation. Follow all safety and emergency procedures. Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families. Perform other classroom support duties as assigned. Required High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with children is preferred. Dependable transportation. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. Preferred CDA Credential. Early Childhood coursework. Bilingual abilities. Required Certifications CPR and First Aid. Mandated Reporter Training. Illinois background clearance. Health screening documentation. Physical Requirements Lift up to 40 pounds. Sit on the floor and engage in child-centered activities. Move frequently between classrooms. Schedule On-call and flexible assignments.
