Child Care Director

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our childcare center. This energetic leader will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while managing staff, maintaining compliance with licensing standards, and fostering positive relationships with families. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and a deep commitment to early childhood education and development. Duties Supervise daily center activities, ensuring all children are engaged in age-appropriate learning and play experiences Lead, train, and support teaching staff in classroom management, child development instruction, and behavior management strategies Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and best practices Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, and health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities Manage enrollment processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure a welcoming environment for families Requirements Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities or special needs Strong classroom experience in daycare or early childhood education settings with demonstrated classroom management skills Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and caregiving best practices Certification in first aid, CPR (Childhood & Pediatric First Aid), and familiarity with mandated reporting laws Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs preferred Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive and energetic work environment Join us as a Child Care Director to inspire young minds, support dedicated staff members, and create an enriching space where children can thrive! $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
