Responsibilities The Parkview Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Wall Belay that is enthusiastic, energetic, attentive, and compassionate with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of our members.
Connect:
Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that can connect quickly with program participants.
Serve:
Ensuring participants are properly secured into safety equipment and providing instructions for safe participation.
Inspire:
Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational experiences, as well as assist participants with overcoming obstacles. Requirements Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: Minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation to and from work. Previous experience in wall climbing and instruction is preferred. Candidate must possess strong communication skills that allow them to connect and engage with our members. Candidate must maintain/provide a safe environ ment by regularly checking all equipment and following all procedures. Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary:
Part-time $11.85 - $12.35 hourly Hours A vailable: Tuesday 5:00pm-9:00pm
