Lead Child Care Floater Lolo's Learning Center - 5.0 Haysville, KS Job Details Part-time | Full-time $14 - $17 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Flexible spending account Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications CPR Certification Interpersonal skills Assisting with ADLs First Aid Certification Cleaning Full Job Description Lead Floater (Lead Qualified) - Preschool & Pre-K (Ages 2.5-5) This position primarily supports our Preschool classroom (ages 2.5-4), where many children are actively potty training, and serves as the Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom during the afternoons. This role will also provide support in other classrooms throughout the center as needed. As a Lead Qualified Floater, they are expected to confidently lead a classroom independently, maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, and support each child's individual development. Flexibility and dependability are essential, as this position helps provide consistency and support wherever it is needed throughout the center. Above all, this role is an important part of carrying out Lolo's Learning Center's mission of helping children learn, grow, and feel loved in a Christ-centered environment. Qualifications Must be Lead Teacher qualified under KDHE Child Care Licensing Regulations Minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting Completion of Kansas Child Care Foundations (18-hour Foundations Training) Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification Must pass all required KDHE background checks and health requirements Comfortable leading a classroom independently and maintaining KDHE staff-to-child ratios Experience working with children ages 2.5-5 years preferred Dependable, positive, flexible, and a strong team player Responsibilities Lead classrooms independently when assigned Support children ages 2.5-5 years in a safe, nurturing environment Assist with potty training using patience, encouragement, and consistency Implement lesson plans and daily classroom routines Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom Use positive guidance and classroom management techniques Support other classrooms throughout the center as needed Communicate professionally with families and coworkers Follow all KDHE licensing regulations and Lolo's Learning Center policies
