Immediately Job DescriptionPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enrolls children into the program. Maintains children's records, making sure all information is up to date.
- Responsible for tracking tuition payments and reporting deposits to Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School business office.
- Maintains updated staff records
- Supervises and evaluates the childcare center staff and high school students working within the program.
- Adheres to all EEC regulations, policies, and procedures, including staffing regulations.
- Responsible for performing children's evaluations, providing written reports, and offering parent conferences twice a year.
- Attends a minimum of 20 hours of staff training/development per school year.
- Responsible for promotion of the program through Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School Open House and Career Awareness Night.
- Responsible for ordering teaching materials as well as grocery shopping for the childcare center classroom
- Encourages adequate parental participation in the form of visits, volunteering in the classroom, and/or conferences.
- Maintains adequate communication with parents.
- Assures childcare facilities both indoors and outdoors are clean and safe.
- Collaborates with center staff to plan curriculum and implement lesson plans appropriate for the needs of the individual children.
- Sets up and cleans the classroom daily.
- Supervises children at play, setting limits, helping children resolve conflicts, interacting, and participating in play or activities.
- Provides a friendly and encouraging environment for Early Childhood Education students to learn hands-on experiences with children.
- Models appropriate instruction and teaching methods for Early Childhood Education students to observe while teaching preschoolers.
- Responsible for grading and evaluating Early Childhood Education students to provide helpful feedback on activities and daily performance while in the preschool classroom.
- Responsible for maintaining communication with Early Childhood Education Ch. 74 instructors for grading, scheduling, and planning.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director.
