2-year-old girl A warm, outgoing, and active Amherst family is seeking a fun, energetic, and genuinely nurturing nanny to become an important part of their family. Their daughter is happy, healthy, active, and loves spending her days outside, exploring, climbing, jumping, and staying busy. They are looking for someone who is excited to get involved and play alongside her rather than simply supervise. The family is also hoping to have additional children in the future and would love someone who may be interested in additional newborn support, including occasional night shifts during the first few months after a new baby's arrival. Responsibilities Providing attentive, engaging childcare Planning age-appropriate activities and outings Spending significant time outdoors each day Supporting active play, exploration, and physical activity Preparing healthy meals and snacks Light tidying and resetting child-related spaces Supporting the family's routines and parenting approach Communicating openly and regularly with parents Occasional evening/date-night care For full-time candidates, additional household management support and healthy meal or snack preparation Requirements 2 years of experience in a private home as a nanny Experience with toddlers Physically active and comfortable spending several hours outdoors each day Comfortable around cats Minimal use of heavily scented perfumes or fragranced products CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain Valid driver's license Fluent in English Able to pass background check and clear motor vehicle report Legally authorized to work in the USA Comfortable with fair and legal pay via payroll Willing to provide proof of vaccinations such as TDAP, MMR, Polio, Measles, etc. Annual flu shot required Willing to provide occasional evening/date-night care Willingness to learn to belay children at the climbing gym; training will be paid for if needed Plus, but not required: Newborn experience, night-nurse experience, strong swimming skills, a 2nd language, a degree in childcare/education or nursing/medicine, and COVID vaccination.
