Child Care Aide Position SummaryAide caregivers provide for the continual health, safety, and well-being of all the children assigned to them, and indirectly, for all the children in the Center. Ads to all Medical Center policies and procedures as well as the regulations of the Maryland State Child Care Administration.
Child Care Aide Position Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence required.
- Must have evidence of six hours of continuing training each year.
- Heartsaver First Aid and CPR certification within 6 months of hire required.
- Must complete within 6 months after the date of hire, an orientation session that follows guidelines established by the Office of Child Care and includes but is not limited to: Proper child supervision, workplace professionalism and interacting with parents.
Experience
- One year to 3 years experience.
Child Care Aide Work Schedule
- May work day, evening, and/or night schedule to accommodate 24/7 operation
- May work weekends
- May work overtime as needed
