Job Summary Join our vibrant Christian school community as an After-School Child Care Specialist, where your enthusiasm, faith, and dedication will help cultivate a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for our students. In this role, you will oversee children's after-school activities, promote positive Christian character, and support their spiritual, social, and emotional growth through fun and engaging experiences.
Model Christ-like behavior, integrate biblical values into daily interactions, and lead students in devotionals, prayer, or faith-building activities during program hours.
Safety & Supervision:
Supervise children attentively during after-school hours, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being at all times.
Activity Facilitation:
Plan and lead a variety of youth activities, including outdoor play, group games, and creative projects, promoting physical wellness, teamwork, and Christian fellowship.
Character & Behavior Management:
Implement behavior management strategies that encourage positive conduct, conflict resolution based on biblical principles, and mutual respect among students.
Environment & Safety Standards:
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that adheres to school health, safety, and operational protocols.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with fellow staff, teachers, and school leadership to support the overall mission and vision of the school.
Qualifications & Requirements Faith Alignment:
A vibrant, active Christian faith, a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, and alignment with our school's statement of faith and Christian mission.
Childcare Experience:
Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, church ministry, camp, or youth program settings.
Classroom & Behavior Management:
Knowledge of positive classroom management techniques and age-appropriate behavior management strategies.
Physical Leadership:
Ability to safely lead outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
Certifications:
Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Developmental Awareness:
Familiarity with childhood development principles and special education needs is highly desirable.
Teamwork & Character:
Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, and a heart for serving families and children.
Background Check:
