Position:
Childcare Aide Type:
Full Time Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift
Hours of Operation:
6:30 am - 6:00 pm We are looking for exceptional candidates who are positive, hard-working, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with young children.
Responsibilities include:
Aid teacher in daily activities to help children make essential developmental progress Treat children and fellow staff with respect and accept differences Supervise children in a caring and patient manner, ensuring children are safe at all times Aid in implementing a positive, interactive, and nurturing environment Encourage children to interact with each other and help them problem solve in times of difficulty Maintain a clean and tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards Maintain positive staff and center family relationships Accurately document and maintain records to be in compliance with DHS, Food Program, and Parent Aware requirements Attend staff meetings and complete trainings as directed Act as a positive role model for the children and other staff Skills required: Possess a genuine liking and warmth for young children Understands the needs of young children Possess the ability to relate to other staff and parents in a positive and constructive manner Demonstrates skills of flexibility, innovation, and creativity Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Able to lift up to 30 lbs. Able to get up and down from the floor quickly in addition to other physical requirements Experience in working in a licensed child care or school environment is preferred Must pass applicant background study as required by licensing agency
